The latest issue of IQ (the magazine for members of British Mensa) has landed, packed as ever with loads of great content for those with curious minds. I was particularly chuffed to land an interview with Geoffrey Hinton, the computer scientist who won a Nobel Prize in physics last year and has been dubbed a 'godfather of AI'. I was also delighted to get Chris Stokel-Walker (author of How AI Ate The World) on board to put the questions to him. It's a fascinating piece. Hinton may have played a key role in developing AI but he believes it will eventually lead to our destruction – a prospect that doesn't perturb him. "If you're a materialist like me, you always thought we came from dust, and we're going to go back to dust." Great cover too, designed by Matthew Ball.
