Interested in woodlands, climate change, land use, estate management or even just the great outdoors? Then you might well enjoy The Return of the Woodland, a new podcast series that I've written, presented and produced for Hampden & Co. In each 20-minute episode, I explore how growing numbers of landowners are planting new woodlands to help tackle climate change, and create a legacy for local communities. Taking more of a radio documentary approach than the standard podcast format, each episode features experts in everything from forestry, carbon capture and land economics, to finance, satellite mapping and even the art of foraging.
It's been a real joy to work with Hampden & Co on this – they have a visionary approach to supporting the restoration of native woodlands, and group marketing director James Oliver (who has himself created two large woodlands) contributed a great deal of expertise, experience and enthusiasm.
