After presenting/producing 90+ episodes of the Scottish Business Network podcast, I feel I've
reached a moment where it would be sensible to hang up the cans.
I launched the series back in 2018 and, looking back, it’s extraordinary to see the gallery of
inspirational characters whose stories I’ve had the great privilege of sharing. I’ve learnt a lot,
made many new friends and also developed podcasting into one of my core services as a
freelance writer and consultant.
I've also very much enjoyed working with Christine Esson, who has joined me in the past year as
co-presenter, bringing her warmth, humour and intelligence to the interviews.
However, for various reasons, this feels like a good time for me to move on and focus on the
podcasts I produce for clients, and my other work, which includes digital content; writing
speeches, reports and video scripts; and editing a magazine.
I believe there are plans to keep the series going – so stay tuned – but in the meantime many
thanks to Christine and her SBN co-founder Russell Dalgleish for all your support and
encouragement.
And the archive remains there for anyone to explore. Take a dive in – there are so many
fascinating interviewees. Here are just a handful off the top of my head.
