What I do
Thanks for visiting. I specialise in helping organisations make a positive impact through carefully targeted, creative content.
Working mainly in B2B, I develop web content, white papers and annual reports, as well as writing speeches, video scripts and blogs. I’m confident working with senior leaders, helping them to shape their messaging and the positioning of their organisations. But I’m also flexible, and have built my career on putting the needs and concerns of my clients first.
The story so far
Since launching Fraser Allen Communications in January 2020, my clients have included Hampden & Co, EQ, Morgan Stanley at Work, Heidrick & Struggles, VISION Consulting, Heriot-Watt University and the Scottish Government.
I also present and produce several business podcast series, am social media curator for the Library of Mistakes, editor-at-large of IQ (the magazine for UK members of Mensa), and write regularly for CA (the magazine for ICAS members).
Prior to working on my own, I started my career as a business journalist in London, later becoming editorial director of the customer magazine publisher Brass Tacks. I then co-founded and led Edinburgh-based content marketing agency White Light Media for 18 years.
During my career, I’ve launched highly effective content and comms projects for clients including Lloyds Banking Group, Royal Bank of Scotland, Standard Life, Channel 4, Tesco, Total, Royal Mail, Scottish Power and several universities.
